Fall bucket list

Since fall is fast approaching i decided to make a fall bucket list for things for our family to do.I love fall and all the fun that comes with it. - Go pick apples - Make an apple crisp - Make homemade apple sauce - Have a bonfire and make s'mores - Go to a fall or harvest festival - Visit a pumpkin patch - Decorate our house for fall - Go through a corn maze - Go on a hayride - Carve pumpkins - Have family fall pics taken - Have hot apple cider - Make a fall craft with Kendra - Decorate our house for halloween - Make homemade caramel apples - Make a halloween craft with Kendra - Make halloween treats - Go on a fall scavenger hunt - Make something pumpkin - Go to a halloween party - Take Kendra trick or treating - Take a drive and look at fall foliage - Have a fall scavenger hunt That is it for now but i am sure i will add more to it later.

Oregon zoo

We went to the oregon zoo last week during my husbands vacation and it was alot of fun.There was a heat wave going on while we were in Portland but thank godness the temps were in the 70's during our zoo visit. They remodeled the zoo recently and there alot more new things to come. Kendra was sad because they no longer have penguins and that is what she wanted to see the most. But she loved the flamingo's.

oven baked tacos

This is a real quick and easy dinner and is very yummy. I got this recipe off pinterest when i was browsing it awhile back. Brown your ground beef and drain completely - then add refried beans, taco seasoning and about half a can of tomato sauce. Mix together and scoop into taco shells, (stand them up in a casserole dish). Sprinkle the cheese on top and bake at 375 for 10 minutes. When they come out of the oven top with your favorite toppings like lettuce,tomato,sour cream and salsa.

Berry picking

So one of our favorite things to do is go pick fruits and veggies at Kruse farms in roseburg each summer. We went last year and got some raspberries and I made freezer jam. I am looking forward to do it again this year. Here is a link to Kruse farms so you can see what this place is all about.

S'mores

Since the nights are getting nicer as summer approaches we are going to start using our fire pit alot more in our backyard. One of our favorite things to do is make s'smores . I like to use the ol standby the plain hershey bars.I also have used reese cups,hersheys with almonds and york peppermint patties. I think that this summer I will experiement with mr goodbars and some rolos or almond joys. I will let you know the outcome of my experiements.

Places we love to camp

With it being almost officially summer i am starting to plan a camping trip or two ! We love to camp whether it be in a tent,yurt or trailer. Here is a list of some of our favorite places to camp. - Umpqua lighthouse state park Winchester Bay,OR - Laverene county park Fairview,OR - Honeyman state park Florence,OR - Powers county park Powers,OR - Harris beach state park Brookings,OR - Loon lake county park Loon Lake,OR - Diamond lake campground Diamond Lake,OR - Agnes OR campgrounds - various ones - Chetco river Brookings,OR - Rogue River Gold Beach,OR That is all that i can think of for now . I may add more later. Alot of the places i mentioned have great day use areas for swimming and picnics.
